JS Humidifiers is launching a new, economical mobile evaporative humidifier for areas up to 1,050m3. The HumEvap Mobile can evaporate up to 48 litres of water in 24 hours and can be plumbed-in for convenience or filled manually. At around 50% less capital cost than its nearest competitor, the HumEvap Mobile is a reliable and cost effective solution to in-room humidification.

Unlike in-room steam humidifiers, which boil water, the HumEvap Mobile works on the principal of evaporation resulting in considerably lower running costs. At just 45W, typical electrical costs of under £5 each year can be expected with the HumEvap Mobile compared with around £120 a year for a steam unit of similar capacity.

The unit is a large capacity humidifier that incorporates a rotating drum which evaporates moisture through a filter medium. The humidifier has a 34 litre tank and comes as either a manual-fill model, for where plumbing the unit in is not practical, or an auto-fill model, which is easy to connect to a mains water supply. The manual-fill model has a pop-up water funnel on the top making filling simple and mess-free. Both are fitted with castors for easy mobility.

The HumEvap Mobile is fitted with an anti-bacterial air filter that provides the added benefit of air filtration, removing dust and airborne pollutants. As well as this, the unit also provides a pleasant adiabatic cooling effect from the evaporation of the water chilling the air that is discharged into the room.

Inside each unit is a silver ion water steriliser stick. The stick is effective against more than 650 types of bacteria and viruses, and helps keep the development of bacteria in check.

A two speed control panel varies the HumEvap Mobile’s 2kg of moisture per hour output, alongside an adjustable humidistat that automatically maintains a precise humidity level in an environment.
